We are going to be sourcing coffee from Finca Esparta in San Luis, Esteli Nicaragua. The farm grows specialty grade Catimor Arabica beans on 7 acres of land. The owner of the farm Luis Angel Lopez makes sure to grow the highest quality coffee possible, and has learned how to produce better and better coffee over the last 15 years of being on the farm. The way we began sourcing from this farm is actually from the mill the green beans are taken too, to be processed. The daughter of the owner of the mill reached out to me and told about the history of the mill. The family used to own farms and the mill from the 50's but after the revolution in the 80's in Nicaragua the farms were taken away and they were just left with the mill. Finca Esparta is one of the farms in the area that uses this mill and she told me its the best coffee that passes through.
